Sale – Any good one is a must go.

Today it was brought to my attention by my partner in blogging. That there was a sale starting and I needed to run there now... At first I was like all sales are the same. I don’t have to go now... She sent me the official sale ad.  Let me just say; I ran, she was right. 

Apple May Designs is having a sale.  If you are not aware of what AMD is let me enlighten you. She makes some uber cute stuff. Skins, shapes and stuff to cover them with too.  She has appliers for Lola’s, Phat Azz and AMD's own The Baby Bump.

In rushing over I was amazed to see that I was able to get in so quickly. I guess the word is not really out yet or that place would be packed. So I might get to be one of the first to spill the beans. With a price like the ones at this event. If you are not looking for a makeover today or even this month, it might be a really good time to pick up a few shapes some nice new skins to have as a backup for when you do.  I grabbed a few things for myself and for a few alts… Shhh don’t tell. The skins are rather amazing. The attention to detail they look so soft you almost want to touch them. The shapes are unique and really nice as well.  I could spend tonight telling you about it or I can just show you one of the things I picked up and send you on your way….

Well Hello Suckers XD… Over this past weekend I saw a sale. To be completely honest I can be really frugal when it comes to spending money.  Always the thought that something may come along that I want later. But when you see a good sale at a shop you truly adore you have to do it. For me one of those shops is [NV]. If you have never been by the shop I would take a trip. You will find the link down in the what am I wearing :) There are a lot of really nice things. Most casual as I normally dress however with the right shoes and accessories you can turn some of the stuff into a nice clubbing thing. Anyways… when I saw that notice that they have a sale on everything black in the shop. I hopped right over and started my shopping spree.  They have so many amazing things that I truly wanted but it was always I will come back. First there was a tank top I have in white already. But really wanted it in black. Score. I grabbed a few more shirts and a couple of the dresses.  Then headed over to the pants. Where I grabbed a few things by the time I had finished I looking at everything and spending a bit more than I had planned.  I headed home.  Left my stuff in my inventory.  Said my good nights and was off to bed. I had kind of a busy day Monday and when I came back Monday night I saw the stuff sitting and waiting for me. Oh yes goodies to look at and play with. I had not set off to blog any of it. But when I came across the “look” I was like yeah this is bloggable.

When I came to Iris asking about blogging, I never thought she would offer to let me blog on hers.  For that I thank her.  I have been around SL for a while. In that time I have come in and out of many fads and styles. This was till I realized this was not going to work for me. I think Second life is very much about self-discovery. You have the chance to show the true you without the restrictions of the world around you.  You are also able to express your style without the worries of what others may think or say about you … because let’s be honest, there is a good chance you will never see those people again. Also if you passed them on the street tomorrow they would not even know it was you. I will tell you I don’t fit the “average” girl on second life. I can't play pro basketball.  You can tell be my curves I love to eat.  I don’t really run around showing off all I have to offer.  When I finally realized I needed to be who I wanted and not what everyone else thought I should be.  I was able to relax and enjoy my SL.

  When I set off to look for my very first post. I came across a vest and shirt. The first thing I thought was shit my Girlfriend would love that.  The longer I looked at it I knew it needed to be on my post.  So I bought it. Ashley is currently carrying our son so she had to give up the mesh. Sorry angel. But I will be getting it for her as soon as Devon is born…. Shh don’t tell her :)  After getting the new top I set off to make the outfit pop.  Grabbing new sneakers and finding a pair of my favorite jeans. I think I hit the look I was going for dead on.  In closing I want to say… in the words of Macklemore Live on and be yourself.

I am so tired.

But I know you don't really care lol. My SL dad eloped last night. And since he eloped, he said we had to dress semi-formal, but semi-formal isn't really a style for kids, so I had to figure out something that would work, and I picked this. The school shirt from Loki, and a pair of jeans. Formalish... right? Probably would have preferred a vest of some sort but no one's made that kinda outfit for kids yet.

The jeans are from bop!, some of the few things they have for sale. And one of my favorite things about these jeans is the stitching. It's orange and noticeable, I liked that a lot. Well I would talk more but the grasshopper song is ruining my train of thought and I can't focus. Have a good morning, and good  night everyone!

There's so many different styles for kids is, but at the same time there's not. There's the typical types of girly outfits that everyone wears. And I don't know if it's just me who notices this, but girls and boys all seem to wear the same things, even if it's only slightly different. But that's how trends work. I'd like to set a trend, though not sure what trend I'd wanna start.

This dres sis only for toddleedoos, but it comes with shoes for everyone, so it's not bad, and it's not too expensive either. I  like the colors on it too.  I don't think I've blogged it before, I don't remember blogging it. But if I have then I'm sorry. If not then, no harm done! I didn't see it when I was going back through posts. So I think I'm good.

Uuuuuugh I'm so freaking itchy for no reason right now, and I hate it. My legs, arms, head. BAH! Anyways, so Soken came out with a few more summer dresses for kids. You can see a few of them in the picture below.

Sarai likes the panda one the most, but don't most little girls on sl like pandas? I think so, because I keep seeing them EVERYWHERE. I personally am not quite so much a fan of pandas, they're not all that cute to me. But hey, to each their own. There's lots of different patterns and styles and colors for the new summer dresses, and while I ADORED the pastel colors, because, hey. It's me we're talking about, they didn't really work with her hair.

But she got a few different patterns, so you could at least get an idea. There's actual patterns, then there's casual types dresses and then a few fun ones.

I have the worst writer's block. And I just have no idea how to fix it. I probably need to read a book or something, but I'm not sure. Something to get my creative juices flowing. I'll find something soon enough, can't keep a good man... or woman down long.

Have you tried the L I F E hud yet? I mean, I know a lot of kids have an a lot of the littler ones gave up on it pretty quickly because they were having to potty all the time. But I like it. Maybe cause I'm not that little and I don't gotta pee all the time.

Sometimes it's a little inconvenient, like when I get really hungry and have to eat like 4 plates of food, but ya know. It happens. When you're growin you gotta eat a lot, and pee a lot, and sleep a lot. I'm lazy though, so I don't mind sleeping a lot. Haha. It's kinda like the sims though, on SL. Minus that weird green diamond over your head.

So I've been waiting for these mesh tuxes for like, since before the last wedding I went to earlier this month. And FINALLY, after taking foreveeeer, Diiego released them. And to celebrate we all swagged up and got on a group pose! And this was the most complicated picture I've ever taken for this blog. These two are so freaking pale compared to me, that when I looked great they had a glare. And if they looked great I looked dark as all get out. So I found a somewhat happy medium.

So my bf decided he wanted to try being a little girl, and asked me for my help to make him into a cute one. Well he didn't so much ask as I told him I would do it for him. Of course he had his say too, he wanted to be a redhead. So A redhead I made him.

Magika has this huge 50% off sale going on there right now, where everything is like 125$L so naturally I took him there and told him to pick a hair.... out of 4 that I decided would look best on him. He picked this one out of these 4. And I think it works really well with her face. I got her a premade shape, because I was too lazy to make one for her. Qbee has this way of making shapes that go with most skins. Not all skins, but most.

And I love mesh, so I took him to Soken to grab an outfit, and some jammies, and we got him all set up looking as adorable as possible.

I said before that I'm not big on holiday themed clothes, so I tried to pick some that weren't quite so holidayish. Stuff that I could wear in everyday kinda way. The polo does say usa on it in the flag theme, but since it's small and less noticeable it would work with a pair of jeans too. And the shorts would look good with a nice white tank top to double as active wear.

So it's coming up on that time of year here in the us where everyone looks forward to one thing. Fireworks! Yes the forth of July will soon be upon us, and Soken Kids Mesh is throwing a week long party leading up to the big day. Not only are there parties [taxi] every night [event schedule] but there's also tacky flag themed clothes! :D

And I know what you're thinking. "Did she really just call something tacky?" Why yes, yes I did. I've never been a fan of the whole holiday themed outfits. Of having something you can only use once a year. But I know people who love holiday themed outfits. There's stuff for regular sized kids, and toddleedoos, even some for this other mesh avatar I'd never heard of and can't remember the name of.

Of course not all of the outfits are holiday themed, there's some nice stuff too. A few holiday themed things that are a little less obviously fourth of julyish. The poster up top kinda explains most of it, haha so I don't have much to say, but omg talking to Diiego is some of the most fun things you can ever do.

Well I have events to cover this month too, this month a new bi-weekly sale started up, called the Pure Sales Room. I'll put a taxi to it later, but first keep reading so you know what to expect.

Ahahaha, anyways, so the sale started this month, and like I said it's a bi-weekly sale, meaning a new round starts every two weeks. Everything there costs from 30 to 75 lindens, nothing higher than that, and they have a some pretty nice stuff there. One of the main things I love about this one is how organized and easy to find things, it is there.

I usually hate going to sales, because usually when they happen it can get cramped and when it gets cramped it's hard to see things, and sometimes you can walk around for like half an hour and you figure out that you passed by it like 15 times already and just didn't notice it. That can't happen here though, because of how simple, but defined the displays are. The decoration style is simple, and it helps that everything here is for people on a budget!

So, shopping is fun, but not when sl is hating on you hardcore. I've had the worst lag in sl all week. But I find something so funny, so I'mma sort of rant here. Every time I tell someone I'm a blogger they say something to the effect of  "Oh! I've always wanted to try that, I would love to get free stuff." Or people get into it thinking they're going to get a ton of free stuff, or money, or whatever.

News flash: That doesn't happen.

And frankly I get a little pissed when people get into blogging with that kind of attitude. It's like store owners who only start making stuff because they want to make money. Or DJs that only DJ to get famous. What the hell? That's not right! As a blogger, I spend a ton of money, and I'm freaking lucky if I can get a store owner to give me something free. And the only time that I legitly ask for something for free is when I find something I absolutely need for a post that I can't afford. And even then I almost never get what I want and end up having to wait two or three days to buy it.

"If you can't afford it, then you don't really need it." A belt, a pair of shoes, a hat. Anything can make or break an outfit. People don't realize how much most bloggers put into every post they make. I usually end up spending anywhere from 1k to 3k on a single post just trying to find the right crap to make my outfits as perfect as they are in my mind. Most of it doesn't make it in the posts.  I won't even tell you how much of a disaster my inventory is. Let me just say I had 3k items before I started blogging, all nicely organized.... now I have 13k, all under all my system folders in my inventory. I really need to clean it.

I've had friends, and I've known people who start blogging because they want to get famous, or they want to make money or they want free stuff. Needless to say I didn't show them my support for their blogs. Just like I don't show support for DJs who only DJ cause they want fans. The point of blogging is to express yourself, and share your opinions and points of view. It should be fun, and you should enjoy it. Don't turn it into a job.

I love my blog, I love blogging. Sure I hate spending massive amounts of Lindens on it, but I love shopping. Everyone hates being broke. But it happens. You always have to compromise  Do you think the best store owners make the great clothes they do because they just want the money? No they do it because they like making cute stuff that I and everyone else in sl loves.

I love the stuff I buy. Like this! Ugh how I love this outfit so much. All up in my happy place cause of it. I love the tattoo. It took me over a day to find this. Like over a day of dedicated  "I need a full body tat but only the right kind of full body tat". I swear I looked at this one like 7 times before I finally said. I bought it, and loooooved it! It works so well with this outfit! :D Not to mention the back is cuteness in a little skin defacing package.

(Even though I haven't been accepted as an official blogger for there yet. T^T) I am so far behind on posts again  and I lack the motivation to write. But I have lots of motivation to shop, so I'll get the posts up for the month I promise, and I promise they will be very.... probably not too chatty, cause this was my rant. Imma end it with another "I luvs this outfit so much! :D"

"Iriiiiis! That picture sucks!" yeah I know. I procrastinated on it and I'm dead tired. Suffer with me.

One year ago today, I started face it we suck with my bestie. A lot has happened over the last year, and it's been kinda hard, there's been the slow months and the months where all I could focus on was what would I post next. But all through that year you guys stuck with me and supported me, and it means a lot. Without my readers this blog would have no purpose. And I'm hoping that in the future, FIWS can grow and hopefully I can even get my own domain which would rock if I could. I've come a long way with you guys, in all sorts of ways, from styling the blog to photography and even the style. My titles have gotten less and less relevant, my avis have gotten older and their styles have shifted, mesh has evolved and prims are used less and less. Fashion trends change but in a way they stay the same. I really do have to thank all of you, because I would have never made it as far as I have without you guys and I probably would have never lasted this whole year. And I certainly wouldn't have made it to 14k views in a year.

Now as that craptastic logo above says yes, to celebrate today, Face It We Suck's first birthday, I'm throwing a give away. There will be 6 winners as it says, 3 child avis, and 3 adult/teen avis. Okay so right now I'm just working on getting all of my backposts up so that I can put up my studio where I can do all my my pictures with a more homey background. And by studio I mean a skybox that I bought by accident >.>.... woops. But I paid a lot for it so I shant let it go to waste! So I'mma get that up and decorate some of it and toss in my pose stands and everyone shall love it!

This is a mixed outfit with pieces coming from 3 different stores, not including the glasses or the hair. But if you do include the entire look it's like 7 different stores. But no one ever really takes full outfits from  blogs right? Anyways, the top of from Le Fleur and while it's called night robe I think it looks like a regular shirt with these two other pieces, one being the waist high jeans from Fiend and the thigh high sock shoes from ducknipple. They don't match exactly but they look close enough were they work together in actuality.

So, we meet again, on little me. There's something I've never understood. Family cheating. Why don't kids just be honest? "Hey, I have another family, but I love your family and I want to be part of it too." I bet parents would be so honored and way less ticked if a kid was honest like that.

It's so cute! I love it.The shoes and dress come from the same store, and they do make shoes in the same colors of the dressed but I really thought that the yellow shoes matched the bow really well and that they went with the blue in the dress great for that whole springtime feeling, don't you agree? Also you can see I have a new hair, and I have a few more outfits to post for kids, and even more to post for adults, so I'm going to go ahead and get started on those now and get them out of the way.

So Today is Easter, and tomorrow is April Fool's day. And one thing I've noticed about SL is, for some reason, anytime a holiday comes up, girls feel the need to wear the most cliche and slutty outfits they can find. I went to a club friday, and I swear every girl was wearing one of those bodysuits with a bunny tail. Not only was it slutty but most of them weren't even that pretty. Why is everyone on sl afraid to do something less obvious. When I think of Easter I think of when I was a child, and I always got to wear the prettiest dresses that were poofy and when I twirled they went out and waved. And how I was never allowed to dress up in them except on holidays for pictures because I wasn't lady-like and I would sit around with my legs wide open and stockings on, but I felt like a princess because even though I hated my teeth, cause they were a little too big for my face and I was always getting picked on for them and my last name, I felt gorgeous. 

I think about dying Easter Eggs with my mom and dad and the Easter baskets FILLED with so much candy you'd think it shouldn't be possible for someone to eat all of it in one day.The morning you'd wake up, and run out to see the Easter basket and then run and wake up your parents cause you couldn't wait to get into all that candy. Getting in trouble for eating all of the candy, the stuffed animals, and Easter egg hunts, with the little plastic eggs filled with candy, and money, and toys and little plastic rings. This is what I think about when I think of Easter.

And honestly I miss these things. I miss the innocence of childhood, when the most complicated things got was someone was bullying you or you got grounded for something little but it was the biggest deal ever to you because all you were was like 8 or 9, and the idea of not being able to go outside, or watch tv was the worst thing ever. Of course now things aren't like that. Kids just lose their cellphones and laptops, and parents can't get them to go outside for their lives.

Sometimes I just like to think about, how if everyone on sl decided to maybe try a different style than what's expected maybe there would be so many more different outfits to buy. Don't you agree?

So all day so far I've been at the reopening event at [FIEND]. And by all day I mean all day. I've been here since the event started around like 1am slt. Haha. And I've been dancing chatting and even doing some shopping. The stuff there isn't all that bad either. I got two pairs of jeans so far, and even won one of the raffles. Which got me a pair of sweat pants type pants... I'm as articulate as ever you can see.

This is one of the outfits I've put together while here. now the only part of this outfit that's actually from FIEND is the jeans, but the jeans come in multiple colors. Red, green, blue, purple, and orange. And I love jeans. Everyone know I can't get enough jeans xD! And this store has stuff for men and women. Mesh stuff. And I love Mesh... yeah... I'll probably be shopping here a lot. I already have multiple outfits lined up. Just have to finish figuring out how I want to put them together. 

It's been slow, with not many people yet; but I'm cool with that cause I have crappy ass luck: if you've ever played a game or sploder with me you know this. So I've actually won a few raffles cause I was the only one there. Don't take this as me complaining cause I'll take any luck I can get even if it's only cause of default. xD

The tops come from two different outfits, and the skin and glasses both come from the arcade. Since I finally finished off my list and got everything I was looking for I gave away everything else. But I kept my skates, the chair, one of my crosseyed doll heads, and a few other things that I wanted.

I was actually surprised when I played the gatcha for oh shit... what was it called... Uhm.. ID. There we go. So I had a little extra money after getting everything on my list and I played a random machine. And I thought about it and tried out the skin and was like. Well shit I like that. It's nice isn't it?

Anyways, I'll be here all day and here's the image with more details below if you want to stop by and hang with us. Dance and enjoy the music and maybe even shop or win something.
